Karl Urban (Star Trek Into Darkness, Dredd) and James Marsden (X-Men: Days of Future Past, 2 Guns) star in the tense psychological thriller, The Loft. Five married men conspire to secretly share a penthouse loft in the city - a place where they can indulge in their deepest extramarital fantasies. But the fantasy becomes a nightmare when they discover the dead body of an unknown woman in the loft, and they realise one of the group must be involved. Paranoia seizes them as everyone begins to suspect one another. Friendships are tested, loyalties are questioned and marriages crumble as the group is consumed by fear, suspicion and murder in this relentless thriller.

  • Amazing

I love a film with a well thought out shocking plot twist, and this film definitely has just that. Kept me guessing until the very and cleverly directed as the main scenes all take place in the one room. Definitely recommend watching!
  • Awful

Absolutely cynical. Awful performances in a terrible script directed by someone who distrusts the art of story telling. Absolutely corker.
  • Brilliant!

  • Dull

If you're one of those arty types who loves your movies to contain lots of staring, musing and short depth of focus camera work then you'll love this.
  • Great rent

  • Perplexing

I read the there reviews and took a punt on watching this. The acting is solid and well cast, the premise is good and the twists are interesting but for some reason it’s just an ok movie . The coda at the end is not needed where the director tries to tie up all the loose ends and in some respects the script puts in exposition in a very ham-fisted way to move the action on. In the hands of a better writer and director this would probably be 4 or 5 stars. It filled a gap in the evening …...

Wouldn't recommended this film, bad acting, too many story lines crammed in. It dragged.

  • Total fail remake of an excellent original

Having seen the Flemish original in movie theaters twice (!), I was anxious to see the US version. When the movie came out in the US, I was a bit skeptical about the very negative reviews it got. Sadly, they were right. While the original is snappy, gripping and fast-paced, this remake is so slow and long-winded that it fails to achieve lift-off until the very end of the movie. It’s only the clever plot that saves the movie from total disaster.
