Description

Just when he's needed most, Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), that witty and wily charmer of a pirate, is trapped on a sea of sand in Davy Jones' Locker. In an increasingly shaky alliance, Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) and Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) begin a desperate quest to find and rescue him. Captain Jack's the last of the nine Pirate Lords of the Brethren Court who must come together united in one last stand to preserve the freedom-loving pirates' way of life. From exotic Singapore to World's End and beyond, from Shipwreck Island to a titanic battle, this adventure's filled with over-the-edge action, irreverent humor and seafaring myth and magic. Everything has led to this twisting, turning, wild swashbuckling ride in this final chapter of the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN trilogy.

...... Is a good thing when the same is brilliant - loved this movie , can't understand the bad reviews as the film literally carries straight on from the second instalment which got mostly great reviews , watch and enjoy the epic climax to the trilogy.......

Okay Pirates 3. It picks up where the Dead Man's Chest ended. The crew are led by Captain Barbossa in order to recover Jack Sparrow from Davy Jones' Locker and then summon a conclave of pirate lords to take down Davy Jones and Lord Beckett and the armada of pirates. Okay third time round. The good things are I like the continuation of the story which is quite nice, the whole Davy Jones/Calypso love story really works and adds a lot to the film. Johnny Depp and Geoffry Rush and to an extent Bill Nighy all steal the show with their performances. The action scenes and the big battle is very spectacular. Also the visuals are very good. This film has quite a number of flaws. Firstly I'm sorry I tolerated this for the first two films but I'm sorry Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightly as Will and Elizabeth are both very wooden. I am particularly disappointed in because he was great in Lord of the Rings. As far as the plot is concerned it is the end for Will and Elizabeth. Also to be honest I thought that Chow-Yun Fat as Sao Feng was a wasted cameo who only appeared twice. And unregrettably too long!! 168 MINUTES!! I'm sorry but that is pushing it. If I was the editor I would cut out 30 minutes from this film at least. There are sections which are really baggy and could be taken out. Overall I like this film but it has flaws, wooden acting from some people, too long too baggy and wasted characters but worth a watch if you like the first two.

when i watched the film it stopped half way and we couldn’t fast forwards as it would go backed to being blocked in the middle. we tried to restart it but the same thing happened. we turned of the mac of and watched the film again but it stopped even earlier than it did before. we have rented films on iTunes before and this has not happened. we are very disappointed about this as we didn’t get to see the end of the film.
