"Charlize Theron is hilarious,” (Time Out) in Tully, a new comedy from Academy Award®–nominated director Jason Reitman (2007, Best Director, Juno) and Academy Award®–winning screenwriter Diablo Cody (2007, Best Original Screenplay, Juno). Tully tells the story of Marlo (Academy Award® winner Charlize Theron, 2003, Best Actress, Monster), a mother of three who is gifted a night nanny by her brother (Mark Duplass). Hesitant to the extravagance at first, she forms a unique bond with the thoughtful, unpredictable, young nanny, Tully (Mackenzie Davis).

  • Another great nuanced performance from Theron

Theron follows up the performance of her career (Young Adult) by reteaming with Diablo Cody and Jason Reitman to tell a beautiful and funny story about postnatal depression. Full of wonderful and touching moments, Tully will resonate with any parent.

good performance, a walk through the challenges of motherhood, very real.

I liked the idea behind a film of the story of a womens struggle with post natal depression. This film does capture some of that but it is however ruined by the amount of rather revolting explicit content that was contiunually streaming on the tele in the house, and most certainly only spoiled what would have been a rather good film for me. Chalize gives an excellent performance.
