In the early evening of August 21, 2015, the world watched in stunned silence as the media reported a thwarted terrorist attack on Thalys train #9364 bound for Paris—an attempt prevented by three courageous young Americans traveling through Europe. “The 15:17 to Paris” follows the course of the friends’ lives, from the struggles of childhood through finding their footing in life, to the series of unlikely events leading up to the attack. Throughout the harrowing ordeal, their friendship never wavers, making it their greatest weapon and allowing them to save the lives of the more than 500 passengers on board. The heroic trio is comprised of Anthony Sadler, Oregon National Guardsman Alek Skarlatos, and U.S. Air Force Airman First Class Spencer Stone, who play themselves in the film.

some americans go on a tour of Europe and end up in the middle of a terror plot (true story). I enjoyed this film which was filmed in a sympathetic style by Clint Eastwood. If your after a fast paced action movie then its not for you.

    In a word - dreadful!
  • Dull

This film is very slow and very dull. It may have seemed like a nice idea using the original people as the actors for the film but they can’t act at all which makes the film really hard to watch. I got it really cheap so I can’t complain too much but ultimately I would avoid this one.

Sad what Europe has to deal with on a daily basis.

For a person who lives in Paris - it was a very emotional movie to watch. Loved the pace, the idea of bringing the real heroes from that day to play themselves in the movie. Thank you all so much guys!!!
  • I'm shocked that

it was Clint Eastwood who directed this movie. Nowhere close to what you'd expect of an Eastwood movie. It's not a bad story, and you're rooting for the blokes from the the get go - they seem decent folk - but the pacing was very poor. Like I said, shocked that Eastwood did this.
  • Rubbish

By the 15 17 out of here!
Bad bad bad movie! The child actors are more talented than the adults!
  • Up there with the worst films I’ve watched

A long pointless build up to a couple minutes of footage you’ve already seen in the trailer... Bad script supported by worse acting!
  • Waste of time

It’s cool that the “actors” play themselves but that gimmick isn’t strong enough to keep you engaged for the whole film. Clint Eastwood’s directing here is awful compared to American Sniper and Sully
